INA Heinzel street petrol station reconstruction consists of enlarging the existing building and new steel awning. Reconstruction added restaurant and bar area with accompanying terrace.

This INA petrol station has been selected as a special location and that was translated in the design with it`s simple volume being complemented with INA brand colors on selected parts of the façade. Specifics of this location is expressed through very demanding design of the steel canopy. Dispersion of the canopy arises from the requirements of the urban plan. Canopy consists of four segments and each of them is in different INA brand color. Each segment is supported by only one central rectangular column from which it stretches up to 5,5 meters. Overall, dimensions of the canopy are 14 by 22 meters and on its highest point it is 7,5 meters high. We designed the canopy, so its construction consists entirely of thin (6 – 22 mm) tin elements which are also its basic visual element and thus there was no need to hide the construction. Canopy is also atypical because 90 percent of its mass is concentrated on the very top of the construction which posed additional challenge for safety in case of the earthquake. (Challenge which was successfully met in recent earthquake with no damage at all). Construction was designed by Škoro d.o.o. firm.
